This post made me laugh out loud! I especially like, \ What can I say? Sometimes I’m a good witch. Sometimes I’m not. “Oh,” I reply, arching a brow. “I know you. I’m a professional fundraiser. I know all about you.” (Trust me pal, it’s not your virtue I’m after.)\ Yes indeed, may we all have the presence of mind to smack warty little toads upside their tiny little heads! good post! SB
Amen! I’ve been there many times :)
Thanks! I wasn’t sure how it would come off, but then, isn’t that sort of the point? Cheers!
Indeed! ;)
Enjoyed that, especially the parenthetical parts. :)
thanks, Em! The asides aren’t really in, but they’re not really out, either. They are like the phantom limbs of literature. :)
Love the subtext in parentheses. Do you have a background in theatre? Actors love to analyze scenes this way… and writers should too.
No real experience in theater. . .though I do enter the scene and transcribe it. The subtext is where the real fun lives. Cheers.
